General Information
about Cytavision

This service is based on ADSL technology. ADSL technology
is very sensitive to distance. As the connection's length increases,
the signal quality decreases and the connection speed goes down.
The length of the copper line from the customer premises to the
telephone exchange must be less than 3 kilometres, but
this is going to change in the near future as the technology changes.
As it is the case with DSL Access
the DSLAM (Digital Subscriber Line Access
Multiplexer, DSLAM) at the access provider is the equipment
that really allows DSL to happen. By clicking on Area
Availability you can check if there is a suitable DSLAM in your
area to support Cytavision. DSLAMs that support DSL Access do not necessarily
support Cytavision since some special features are required.
An ADSL modem with a 10BaseT connection
is essential for Cytavision to work.
For more information about the installation you can click here (Installation
Instructions).
Based on ADSL technology Cyta can provide to customers, telephone,
internet, broadcast TV and Video on Demand with a single telephone
line.
